How Did We Get Here?
The Body of Christ Ministry was born out of a necessity, driven by a profound burden placed on Apostle John Bush. He saw a pressing need for unity among church and a deep desire to see God's Word preached in its fullness.
Apostle John recognized that many believers were not receiving what they desperately needed - true teachings rooted in love and true understanding. The Word of God was often preached out of context and diluted, lacking its purest form. Compelled by his burden and seeking God's guidance, Apostle John embarked on a journey to establish BOC DFW.
As BOC DFW began to flourish and impact lives, a strong desire emerged amongst believers in Houston to establish a church in their city as well. Thus, BOC Houston was birthed, and God's hands has been evident in its growth ever since. The church continues to experience a steady influx of individuals seeking truth and a genuine encounter with God.
At BOC Houston, we wholeheartedly believe in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture. The teachings are firmly rooted in God's Word, and it remains the foundation upon which our faith and practices are built. We strive to honor the Scriptures by teaching them with accuracy, context, and a deep understanding of God's love and grace.
In this ministry, we recognize that we are complete in Him, finding our identity and purpose in Christ alone. We rely on His power and guidance to keep us, knowing that apart from Him, we can do nothing. The Holy Spirit moves and leads us, illuminating the truth of God's Word and empowering us to live out our faith daily.

Based on Scripture, we firmly believe in the principle of One Lord, One Faith, and One Baptism, as stated in Ephesians 4:5.

Jesus Christ is our Lord, the exclusive pathway to God. His truth serves as the guiding message for the Church, and it is through His life being lived within us that we can truly please God, as expressed in John 14:5.
The faith we embrace is the same faith preached by the Apostles, as recorded in Acts 2:42. This faith is rooted in the promise Jesus Christ instructed His disciples to await, which is the Holy Ghost, as described in Acts 1:4-8.
Water baptism serves as a public declaration of one's faith. However, it extends beyond the physical act of immersion in water. There is also a baptism of the Holy Ghost, which signifies a transformative change in the soul, shifting from the flesh to being fully immersed in the spirit of God. This understanding is supported by Matthew 3:11-12, Acts 1:4-5, and Romans 6:1-4, 7:5, and 8:9.

We are steadfast in our resolve to live out Christ’s ministry as He lives His life through us (Galatians 2:20), and to teach all nations that we are now partakers of the fellowship Christ shares with the Father (John 17:20-26). Together, we are witnesses of His life and ambassadors of His reconciliation.

We express our deep gratitude for the remarkable work of God happening at BOC DFW, our sister church. Under the visionary leadership of Apostle John Bush his wife First Lady Gloria Bush, and Pastors Herbert and Tiffany Bush, our Dallas Campus is experiencing tremendous growth and flourishing.
The establishment of Body of Christ DFW approximately four years ago marked the beginning of an incredible journey. With a global ministry perspective, BOC DFW is connected with churches worldwide and has even played a significant role in the recent launch of BOC Houston. Minister Sarah Jones, a dynamic and inspiring minister, has been instrumental in stirring the hearts of young people to walk in a manner that pleases the Father. Pastor Herb, a remarkable preacher, and father, along with Pastor Tiff, a nurturing mother in Zion, provide exemplary leadership and support to the congregation.
Furthermore, we are blessed to have Psalmist Daniel Bush leading our worship at the DFW campus. His anointed presence ushers in the Spirit in an awe-inspiring manner. At BOC Houston, our outreach evangelist ministry emphasizes the importance of prioritizing faith over feelings. This core principle originated from the personal experience of Apostle Bush's granddaughters, Magan Wallace and Sarah Jones who rediscovered their faith after a period of worldly pursuits. Motivated by a desire for accountability and a nurturing environment for spiritual growth, they envisioned a community that would inspire others to embrace a relationship with Christ.
In alignment with this vision, Faith Over Feelings community organizes fellowships and events aimed at cultivating a sense of unity and fellowship among women. We firmly believe in the profound impact of authentic connections and the collective strength that arises from walking together in faith. Our gatherings provide opportunities for women to forge meaningful relationships, share their testimonies, and offer mutual support on their spiritual journeys.
Through our various meetings, one-on-one mentorship, Bible studies, and engaging events, we have witnessed the transformative presence of God and significant spiritual growth. The Holy Spirit actively moves within our midst, touching hearts, bringing healing to wounded souls, and igniting a fervent devotion to Christ.
